Several of the reviews mention the lack of sound for this fountain, which I agree, however I discovered while cleaning that inside the main tube, there is a plastic ring/gasket inside the tube feeding the top of the fountain, if you fish it out with wire, the fountain runs with alot more pressure, the ring is meant to restrict the flow I guess?, if the flow is too much you can adjust that with the damper on the pump itself, of course, do at your own risk but I think it makes this good fountain a GREAT fountain that you can hear for sure!!

The fountain is the same as on the picture. It's a bit smaller than I imagined but I still love it. The rocks look believable and the water imitates a flow of a stream very well. The trickle is pretty quiet, you have to get up close to hear it but once there it's magical. The led light is a bit too bright so I covered it up with a translucent shell, which makes it look even better. The pump is very quiet and it came all set up and ready to be plugged in. The manufacturer recommends distilled water so the tube doesn't get clogged up with build up. So far I haven't noticed any leaks. I placed it among my plants and they seem to love the humidity and the sounds of the water, I also arranged my air plants on the edges of the rocks and they look great.

I received this as a Christmas gift, and so far it's been a pleasant diversion. It has one best view (as the back is unfinished) so it must be placed against a wall. It works best when full of clean water; the pump must be completely immersed, or an unwelcome grinding noise will result. Enclosed documents also explain that dust or heavy water can lead to increased noise.



I found an ideal place for mine, on a sideboy in a hallway, where the sound of the running water can be heard from two rooms, and where the light can be kept low so the silvery spotlights can sparkle in the running water. It's not made of stone (though polished stones are included for meditative and decorative purposes), but the black plastic is unobtrusive, and it's quite soothing. What more do you expect for $20 from the drugstore?

I bought his for my 5-gal water bottle since I don't have space for a stand. However, I only used it a couple times and then reverted back to nothing because it leaked and didn't function really. Not sure if mine was defected or if all are the same.

i must say, i read all the reviews i could find over and over before i bought this!! i was having a big "hollywood oscar dress-up style" 18th birthday party for my daughter and 40 other of the greatest teenagers in the country and i had this picture in my mind of elegance--except it was "elegance-on-a-budget"!! i was having trouble finding a punch recipe that was non-alcoholic but not baby shower taste either...so, i kept wondering if it would really be worth it and would it just look like cheap plastic?? i finally decided to "just do it" and ordered at the best rate i could find with amazon. it was here pretty quickly and i ripped into it. i was very excited--all parts seemed to fit properly together and i tested it with water and it worked and looked great! it's not a $500 or $1000 silver or crystal punch bowl but it had a good weight to it and looked just fine next to real crystal platters! and with the following recipe from a friend it was a huge hit with ALL the kids--they just kept coming back and never even touched the sodas i kept offering--until the punch ran out! thanks for a fun party addition!! 4cups cranberry cocktail juice + 4cups pineapple juice + 1cup white sugar + 1 tsp almond extract (mix all that together ahead of time) + 1 liter(4cups) ginger ale soda. multiply the recipe however many times you want but add the ginger ale slow slow slow slow slow!!!! i goofed and went too fast the 1st batch and the fountain wouldn't work till the fizz all settled down-but it recovered in spite of me:)!

It was a nice little fountain. It looked nice and pump was quiet enough that the water sounded nice. Unfortunately, the pump died after three days. I am sending it back and trying a different fountain.

It took a while.The package was terrible.The box was smashed.If not for the long wait I would have returned it.I put it together.Found "D" batteries.Cleaned it.Put on 5gal. bottle.I thought it was crapy at first.Did not fit well on bottle.But 24hours later I like it
